Cricket Force Weekend
The committee, and John Tadman especially, have been working tirelessly on planning the weekend, so to maximise our workforce. Projects in the pipe-line include;
- Building a Grass compound
- erecting some fencing
- Clearing out the old shed
- putting up the nets
- preparing the third net
- painting the fences
etc etc
So, if you can dig, paint, hold, carry, push, pull, drive, mow, prepare, cut, fill, then you can help us out. Nigel Blown will be cooking Breakfast for us at 9.30, so come along early, enjoy a fry up, then help us out.
If you are a plasterer, then you will be our most valuable asset, and may even get seconds at breakfast! Please e-mail FCC for more info.

Hello there. Welcome to the fourth edition of the Blog! The new committee met for the first time this year last night (17th February), and all matters FCC were discussed. In this edition, you'll find out about social events for 2009, 200 club winners, and why 2010 looks to be a very interesting and exciting year for Frindsbury Cricket Club.
Social Events
The social and fundraising committee have been working extremely hard to devise a full compliment if social events for 2009. These currently include;
If you would like to join the 200 Club, please e-mail the club for an application form, or speak to Dave Claughton behind the bar!
2009 Fixtures
All the league fixtures are now available, and can be found on the play-cricket website. We are currently in the process of finalising friendly fixtures, so if there are any we should know about, please contact us asap, so that we can make sure it is booked in. Shahab raza has taken the lead in this, so our thanks to him for organising them all. 2009 looks to be yet another record breaker for the number of teams and games played by Frindsbury Cricket Club, with the new Third Team playing their home games at the BP Club in Hoo.
Once all the fixtures are finalised, they will be collated into the fixture book, and these will be ready for the start of the season.
Cricket Force Weekend
During the weekend of 3rd, 4th, 45h April 2009, clubs throughout England are participating in a scheme to get their clubs ready for the new season, and Frindsbury are no different. If you can spare a few hours, please come down to the club, and lend your hand one of the many things that need to be done for the start of the season. Last year, we managed to refit our kitchen, and showers, along with many other smaller jobs. Everyone can help out, so please come, as many hands make light work.
If you have any specialised skills (we may need a plasterer!) then even better!
2010 - 125
Next year, 2010, is set to be one of the most exciting years in the club's history, as it marks the 125th anniversary since it was founded by the vicar of Frindsbury in 1885. There is set to be a whole host of events run throughout the year, and a 2010 committee is already in place organising events, to make it a truly unforgettable year.
Tesco Vouchers - The club are making use of the Tesco Schools and Club's deal being offered at Tesco. If you have any vouchers, please bring them along to the club, or training nights, as FCC can gain valuable training equipment with these. Thanks!
